Things to look at yourself before offering on a Werribee house
A short list of checks you can make at an open for inspection.
In short: You cannot inspect a house properly at an open, but you can spot reasons to book one.
Walk around the outside
Look at how paths and garden beds slope. If they fall toward the walls, ask how water is drained.
Look up
Ceiling stains, especially near wet areas or below a balcony, point to past or present leaks.
Open doors and windows
Doors that stick or windows that will not close can be a sign of movement.
Check the balcony
Cracked or loose tiles and stained brickwork below are worth a question.
Then book the inspection
These checks only tell you where to look. A proper inspection tells you what is there.
